Club Coaching Officers and School Liaison Officers
Despite several requests from the County Coaching and Games Developmnet Committee, less than 20 clubs have sent in names of Club Coaching Officers and School Liaison Officers. Clubs are asked to send details, including email addresses, of their appointees to these positions to Nicholas Moroney (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible. Please note that the availability of funding for club projects will depend on the presence and activities of these key officers in clubs. Coaching Officers are expected to keep club members up to date on new coaching initiatives. School Liaison Officers are expected to be in weekly contact with local schools to ensure they have everything they need to promote Gaelic Games in all our schools. Schools depend on help from clubs. The Coaching and Games Development Committee hope to have School Liaison Officers appointed by all clubs so that they can ensure all schools have coaches in place before schools reopen in September. This is where our stars of the future will get their first introduction to Gaelic Games. Make sure your club has the right coach in the right place at the right time.
New Tutors are needed to help deliver the Coaching Courses to club members. Anybody who is interested should apply to Dinny Maher 086-3551830. Tutor Courses will be held over 4 Fri/Sat weekends on 12th/13th, 19th/20th September and 3rd/4th, 10th/11th October.
