All I can say is look out, because PJ Gallagher, The rubber faced whistling star of RTE’s Naked Camera, is back at the Thurles venue for one night only on Thursday 29th October at 8pm. The last night he was there, he caused absolute mayhem with people’s mobile phones while wielding his newspaper like a sabre. He can go through a raft of characters with absolutely no props or costume changes. Everyone from Jake Stevens to the randy auld one appear as if by magic.
A lot of PJ’s humour happens on the spot. It all comes into being based on how he reacts to other people and how they react to him. This ensures that no two shows are ever the same. It also means that there are bound to be some embarrassing moments for unsuspecting members of the public, as P.J. pounces on them. I have been assured that the front row seats come with a health warning for this show.
PJ has been going from strength to strength and as his recent Late Late Show appearance showed us, he is even funnier than ever.
PJ Gallagher is at The Source Arts Centre on Thursday 29th October at 8pm. Tickets €18/€16 Concession.
